Classes

We're looking forward to a great year of fun projects!! Scroll down or click for the following information:


Class Levels

Beginner: New sewer. Needs help threading machine, not familiar with the machine.   

Advanced Beginner: Can sew a straight line, and has at least 5 hours of sewing. Could use a refresher course.

Intermediate: Has sewn a few projects, and is comfortable with the basics of construction. Knows how it is supposed to work, but needs assistance on technique.

Advanced: Has constructed quilts, or garments, window treatments, and is confident in her skills.

Teacher: Has mastered the craft, and feels comfortable demonstrating skills and has the patience to teach others.  We are always looking for new teachers. Please feel free to contact us.

Friday Night Open Studio UFO  (UnFinished Objects)

On select Friday evenings each month, we will have open studio from 6p.m. until 9:00p.m.  The cost is $25 and you can notify us of your attendance  right up till 5:00 on Friday afternoon.  Check the monthly calendars for dates. Attendance is limited to 6, and space is limited.   Bring in your project, and spend the evening in a relaxed atmosphere with fellow sewers.  Don't worry about dinner, it's included!  Reservations required for large layout tables. You are welcome to bring your own beverages.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available with Jean our resident quilt expert.  $25/hour
 


Class Registration Procedures

  • Classes are currently limited to 8 students. Registration is "1st come, 1st served."

  • You can register by coming in or calling the store at 978-887-2009, and mailing in a check.  We have been advised not to take credit cards over the phone.  The answering machine is always on, and picks up on the 7th ring, so leave your name and class request.  

  • Full payment is required to register for a class.

  • Upon payment, we will issue you a supply list for the  class if necessary.

  • Please arrive early to allow time for set up. 

  • Please be considerate and do not bring children, pets or cell phones to class.  

In an effort to grow our class program, until further notice, we will not cancel classes due to low enrollment. So, no matter how many sign up, be assured when you buy your materials, the class will meet.

Cancellations must be made within 2 days of the class date, you will receive a full refund in the form of a store credit. No refund will be issued for No Show, or late cancellations.Every effort will be made on our part not to cancel classes.  Should we need to cancel, and rescheduling is not possible, we will issue you a store credit of 110% of the class fee.
